Live Nude People….(with clothes on)
Friday, February 25th
Since I was feeling down over the weekend I decided to go see “Live Nude People”, an improv comedy troupe, at UCI last Friday. The troupe has been around since 1997 at UCI and performs on campus every other Friday Night
To get an idea of what the show is like……think Whose Line Is It Anyways but more ghetto.
One of the funniest shows on TV
Dress the Part:
One of the fun things about the show is there usually is an overlying theme each week. This weeks theme was Cowboy’s & Indians.
[Note:] Audience members are also encouraged to dress up

Audience Participation:
I can’t stress how much more fun it is to see comedians live rather than on tv. Something about being able to feel the emotions sweeping over the crowd or really getting to hear the tenor of someone’s voice just makes it more fun in person.
Where’s Waldo?
The Cast:
Every actor in the show is actually a student at UCI so there is a wide mix of talent from “damn you suck” to “ROFLMAO”. As I was watching the show I began to wonder if any of the people making me laugh would make it big after college. Eric J Stein a previous cast member actually went on to do some TV Sitcoms & movies.
Supposedly girls think this cast member is cute.
All the actors are split up into two teams. Throughout the night the two teams play several games against each other and at the end of the night a winning team is announced and given a gigantic wooden spoon.
Yea, I’m not sure what’s going on in this picture either.
Skit of the night:
There were several games & skits through the night but my favorite by far was a”Your Moma” game with a twist. The jokes had to be done to a theme of pets or jello. My favorite burn of the night came from Lilan:
“Your moma is sooooooo Jello, that when I fuck her….she wiggles.”

My Recomendation:
If you are from Orange County definitely try to come to at least one “Live Nude People” show. For everyone else, try to find a comedy theatre near you. Trust me you won’t be dissappointed.

we have a comedy club here where you not only can watch, but drink beer, and eat…how great is that?

i recomend anyone to go see a Comedy Sportz show [check their webpage at http://www.comedysportz.com for a club near you (if there is one)] Best live performances i’ve ever seen :dribble:. I totally agree with you on the seeing it live is better then TV

yeah i love good sushi, best place i’ve ever been to has been morimoto in philly. been there a few times and everytime is always great.

Where’s Waldo? Brilliant. By far my favorite Waldo book was “Where’s Waldo in TIME!” where I got to search for that elusive guy through ancient Rome, the crusades, and even a futuristic moon colony. Ah, good times.

Just passing through….I’ve never been to a comedy club or theater before. Sounds like something I may wanna go to sometime. We all need a good laugh once in a while!

jello momma was the best, i’d have to admit.
yeah i had open heart surgery a couple months after high school graduation, a few weeks before starting college. i’m good now, in better shape than i ever was because i have to be more health conscious about things these days.
improv shows are a lot of fun. I loved the British version of Whose Line is it Anyway, even though there were some jokes that I couldn’t get since they referenced Euro pop culture.

It’s all about the audience. The atmosphere of combined laughing is enough to make the tamest of jokes hilarious!
