  • Learn Something New:

When you were younger did you ever tell yourself you always wanted to do "___________" but you didn't think you were good enough so you didn't try?  Well that thing for me was chess.  I had the extreme pleasure of getting my ass served to me on a platter when I was younger and for years I wouldn't touch the game.

A couple of months ago I had some free time on my hands and decided, why can't I play chess?  So I headed over to Toys R Us bought a chess set and started playing.  Ever since then my $20 chess set has been in my car, w/ me at work, before I go clubbing, everywhere.

I have to say that even though I'm not the next Bobby Fischer I can hold my own & am glad I got over my personal demons & picked up something I always thought I wouldn't do well at.

So get off your ass, have some faith in yourself and try something new.  After that hit me up and I'll teach you how to play some chess =P

  • About Me:

    Saturday, August 14th (3am)
    Irvine, Toscana

Let me start off by saying I love my twin brother Linh.  He's been there for me in his own way for the past 22 years and I can only think of a couple people I have as much fun spending time with.  It's eerie while we are both very different people we have so much in common.  Growing up we fought constantly, probably fighting for attention and a voice.  But as we got older and more mature we realized that even after the fights we were still brothers and we came to accept that.

The past several years I've learned a lot about my brother and we've developed a certain relationship that I cherish.  He doesn't open up to me all the time but the few times he does I am thankful for it.

Like when I broke up with my ex several month ago, the one thing he said that was able to cheer me up was a response he made to when I asked him "what he thought of her and us breaking up."  He said, "yea I liked her, but I like you more."  Simple things like that make me realize why I love my brother.

So last night around 3am we decide to take a walk around my place and smoke a cigar.  He's been going through some tough times and I've been growing through lots of changes so it was nice talking about it with someone so close in my life.

The pictures above were just me messing around w/ the black & white feature on my camera.  Hope you like them.....

P.S.  I added a picture of my brother & I when we were 6 hahahah it's funny after 16 years my brother has the same hair cut (he's the one on the right) =P

  • Event Recap:

    Saturday, August 7th
    Highland Park, Helen's BBQ

It started off like a normal bbq.....(Kevin & Mikie)

My friend Helen's parents were out of town to Las Vegas so she decided to throw a bbq.  Helen's boyfriend Mikie, one of my best friends, also was going to be there.  He's been having a tough couple of weeks so I made sure he had a good time:

Well one of the only ways I know to get someone drunk is to have a couple of drinks myself (i lost count somewhere around 10) and well...... there was a good time for all to be had

Something about being with good friends having no worries and just having a good time is all you need.

Some of the Boys vs Some of the Girls

Now you can't have a good night of drinking without something crazy happening.  What we ended up doing......I wouldn't even have thought I'd have done in a million years....but well, I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Ok so I lied, I haven't been good and I haven't been updating daily like I said I would.  Back to the long ass weekly updates.  Oh wells, better late than never right.  =P

    Tuesday, July 27th
    Anaheim, Angel's Stadium

Section 129 Row K Seat 6.  Amazing Seats....

Let me start off by saying I don't really watch baseball.  It's hard for me to sit there for 3 hours watching TV and waiting for a guy to hit a ball onlye 3 times out of 10.  It's a boring sport to watch on tv but..........being there is an incredible joy.  Something about being surrounded by 40,000 people screaming doing the wave, eating hot dogs, drinking beer, & singing "Take me out to the Ball Game" just hit me and I think I understand now why to many this is America's Past Time.

It was a great game to watch and the Angels came out on top 2 to 0.

    Thursday, July 29th
    Irvine, First Direct Mortgage

Today I moved to a bigger office and I have this awesome view and tons of more space.  I love where I work and my coworkers are pretty awesome people.  Eventhough I'm indoors all day at least I have a cool view.  Also, if you notice in the picture on the left is Pepe a puppet one of my coworkers got me while in Mexico.

Some more random pictures of my desk and my cool lava lamp that for some reason all the girls like in the office ;P

hahah and that's the dart board all my coworkers waste their time on.  =p

    Friday, July 30th
    Irvine Dave & Busters/Stanford Court

Started off the night playing some pool w/ my coworker Demanche.

After having a couple of long islands and playing some games at Dave & Busters, I headed back to Megan's place for her birthday party and chilled the rest of the night at Stanford Court.  Our little Megan's growing up and just wait, one year from now we're throwing her a kick ass 21st birthday party.

Started off the day spending some quality time with my family and going down to Bolsa to treat my parents and brother to lunch and the funniest thing I took my parents to watch Harold & Kumar go to White Castle.

This movie was hilarious totally recomment it to anyone who likes stupid movies and just wants to laugh.

Party Time - Rowland Heights/Ivar Night Club

This night was probably the highlight of my weekend because I got to celebrate the birthday of two of my closest friends.  Liss (Spicy) & Kristine (Tabasco).  We started off the night having dinner with about 50 people at Banana Bay.

If you notice in the second picture, Liss is trying to stab me.  *she was faded* shhhh don't tell anyone.

    Random Pictures at Banana Bay

Afterwards we all headed over to club Ivar in Hollywood.  It was a great club, good music, a freestyle battle in the middle of the night, and a goodlucking crowd.  Sometimes I feel the clubbing "scene" gets old but when good music is playing I forget all about the weird people around me and just let go.

Pictures with Anne, Jenica, Liss, & the last one is the rest of the group at Ivar.

Final Notes:  Life's to short not to have some fun. =P

  • Question of the Day:

to fart, or not to fart?

You're hanging out with your girlfriend and you're as comfortable as can be.  Or are you?  All of a sudden, you feel a low rumbling in your stomach and you realize that an imminent upheaval of gastro-intestinal fumes looms threateningly on the horizon.  What to do? Let it fly? Hold it in until you're bursting at the seams? A flurry of thoughts run through your head: to fart, or not to fart?  Will she get disgusted?  Is it really that big of a deal?  Worse yet, exactly how noxious will the gaseous product be? You decide to hold it back only to have a surprise silent attack foil your game plan; crap! You've just opened the floodgates to an entirely new perspective on your relationship: the comfort zone.  Will you be a man and take it in stride?  Or will you wimp out like the coward you are?  You take a deep breath (damn that smells) look her straight in the eye, and say,

    "The dog did it"

    Sissy,

  • Event Recap:

    Friday, July 16th
    Mission Viejo, Orange County Fair

Started off the night meeting Kaitlin over at The Cheescake Factory at Mission Viejo and I'll never get tired of going to that place.  The wait is long to get a seat but the food is so worth it.

I noticed I take a lot of pictures of food now........heheheh remember "live to eat, not eat to live"   I ended up getting the Lousiana Chicken Pasta and I'd recommend this dish to anyone.

After dinner Kaitlin & I headed over to the Orange County Fair for rides, expensive food, carnival games, & farm animals.  I remember going with my parents & family to the OC Fair when I was a little kid and whenever I go it always brings back fond memories of simpler times.

Kaitlin really likes cows by the way

While I'm on a ride I'm thinking of nothing but "oh jeez I hope I don't barf" or "wow my head's spinning."  I forget all about my computer, bills, problems, work, girls and just live in the moment.  I found myself screaming and laughing like a little kid and I wouldn't give up that for anything in the world.  I hope I never grow old inside.....

I think I'm a little more excited in that first picture

Here is stuffed animal I "won" last night.  The other picture is of Kaitlin helping me cheat at the dart game to win

  • Adventures of the Filthy Foursome:

    The Tale of the Daulhouse
    written by Nympho (Lan Nguyen)

If you look real closely you can see two people standing in the window immediately to the right of the door.

So on the filthy foursome's second adventure we decided to visit the Daulhouse.  From what I've heard the story behind the house goes as follows:  A family lived here a several years ago and while the dad was gone away on a trip the mom goes crazy and kills all their children.  The dad comes home to find his wife and decides to cover up the murder rather than let his wife go to jail.  They chop up the kids and embed the bodies into cement blocks that were used to build the home.

Eric (The Ho), Megan (The Whore), Laura (Queen Bee J), & I (Nympho) decided to go with our special guest Jon to the house last night.  This house is located at the end of a cul da sac and is on a street in old Irvine.  The thing is this particular home's construction is completly eschew of the surrounding neighborhood.  Large walls keep it seperated from the homes around it and I have to say being near the house made my heart skip several beats.  The trick of the house is you are supposed to lay your ear against the stone rocks of the home and you can then hear the silent screams of the deceased children....

Hand print we saw back at Laura's Apt

P.S.  What I didn't tell the rest of the group was that night while I was walking up to the house I noticed something moving in the window next to the front door; at the time I figured it was my imagination just playing tricks on me.  After looking over the pictures I'd taken of the house, I noticed two figures in the same window that drew my attention the night before.
