Question of the Day
We’ve all been in this situation: sitting in your car with your friends and then *bam* your favorite song comes on. What do you normally do? Do you sing along or turn up that dial and start singing along (horribly I might add)? Sometimes, while I’m singing I’ll notice my friend keeps looking at me funny. Why is that? Because I don’t really know the words to the song. For the past 3 minutes I’ve been mumbling through the whole song and just singing the chorus.
Does anyone really know any of the words to any of Missy Elliot’s songs? You can do one of two things in this situation….either replace the words of the songs with your own “special words,” or do what I do and just sing incoherently to the tune of the song.
My friend, who will stay anonymous (psst….Fuyumi) for weeks thought the lyrics “come on get it girl” was “come here kitty, kitty.” I thought it was the most hilarious thing in the world and I didn’t have the heart to tell her.
So the next time you are in the car with your friend and you realize they aren’t singing the correct words to the song playing on the radio, just sit and chuckle and realize you’ve probably done it yourself.
So tell me do you pretend to know all the words to your favorite songs?
(next weeks episode, Wouldn’t it be weird if you shit out of your mouth and talked out of your ass?)

If I hear a song I really, really love, I blast the fawking stereo as I drive safely. Heh.
Also, I have no idea what Justin Timberlake is EVER saying. Ask honeynutmeg, she’ll tell you.
Haha, I just make it a point to inform all bodies in the car that I don’t know the words but will be screaming something anyways so be prepared as I crank up the volume.
BWAHHAHAHAHHAHAH – shi is right, she has NO IDEA what justin or britney sing about…but it makes for funny times when we both sing the totally wrong words together…

i half sing half mumble. in most cases, i can remember the ending words of each lyric, but not the whole lyric itself.
and believe it or not, i’ve had that last question in my mind before. it came to me when i first heard the saying “wash your mouth out with a bar of soap” to get all the ‘crap’ out. farts would be coming out of mouth every other min.

yeah, most of the time i don’t know the words to my favorite songs, so i either hum it or i’ll just listen and mouth the words. I don’t think i’ve gone as far as to actually *try* to sing it. i think my friend’s eardrums would prefer not to ever experience that god-awful racket. :wacko:
even worse, some of the songs i love i dont even know the language.. lots of filler-mumbo-jumbo there. :w00t:

Hahahahahha, how often have i mumbled through songs, mouthiing sounds that resemble the lyrics! Fortunately, my wife’s English is so-so, so I can get away with it… :tongue:
Dude. I always sing-a-long and pretend to mumble the words. It’s great.
If it’s a favourite song, I would spend the time to look up and learn the lyrics, partially because it’s the lyrics that make me fall in love with the song in the first place.

Hehe. I think its great if you just keep singing and make up your own lyrics. I can’t stand it when someone corrects you when you sing a song wrong in an elitist tone. Let me enjoy my song the way I want to man! :boxing:

haha! that’s why i only sing in the privacy of my own home!!! :whistling: but i remember this one time my cousin’s fiance (at the time) was driving me home and she was singing at the top of her lungs to pop songs ALL THROUGH THE CAR RIDE!!! oh yeah, did i mention she was bumpin’ it too?!?! haha….omg, that was hell (but it sure was funny!!) :dribble:
